From thousands of young hopefuls who joined the nationwide 2013 Jr. NBA School Clinics, the top 40 participants were selected during the Regional Selection Camps in NCR, Lucena, Dagupan and Davao. They had to go through a more intense development program at the National Training Camp where they were also joined by the top 10 players from the Alaska Power Camps.

Now, the 50 young cagers must give their best and show what they have learned from the series of clinics to be part of the coveted 10-member 2013 Jr. NBA Philippines All-Star Team.  This culmination event is the day they are waiting for if they In or Not.

The culmination event was became more exciting because of a special Jr.  NBA PH Alumni All-Star game. The exhibition game was joined by All-Star alumni from 2007-2012. They were divided into two groups-Team Jolas which was headed by PBA legend Jojo Lastimosa and Team Muggsy which was headed by  Tyrone “Muggsy” Bogues.

Because of the super intense game,  there’s a three-minute overtime match. In the end Team Muggsy won the fight. Here in the Philippines,  we have a tradition that the losing team will do “lusot’ against the opponents, and that’s what Team Jolas did.  You’re such a good sport guys.

After the exhibition match, the top 20 players,  which divided into two groups joined into a powerful game. Each player really showed their skills and the knowledge they got from the training.
