Mt Maranat Adventure

If you are looking for a mountain which is near from the Metro,  take the Mt Maranat in Rizal.  It offers rolling terrain, luscious greenery,  clean streams, magnificent waterfalls and views of nearby mountains.


Maranat is known for others as a name of the falls, which belongs to Mt. Oriod.  This unrated mountain allows you to see a lot of relaxing floras and distinct faunas, which scattered around the area.

Along the way to the summit, mountaineers will trek on concrete roads and muddy trails. The trail is also like in Mt. Batulao, which is very slippery and muddy during rainy season. It’s a minor climb where hikers will descend to reach the campsite.

Other says the mountain lies between two provinces- Bulacan and Batangas. Going there, you will pass by the town of Licao Licao and the quite community of Balagbag. Travel time will only take around 2 hours from Quezon City/ Manila. You can take public transpo like Bus, jeepney and a tricycle.

Aside from trekking/ walking , indulge into different activities like river crossing, swimming, camping, drinking marathon, zipline and a lot more!

In the campsite, you will find the house of Mang Nestor, a guide that help mountaineers to go the summit and using the zipline.

Don’t forget to wear proper attire and bring sun block to protect your skin from direct heat of the sun. It’s also advisable to bring insect repellent to avoid mosquito bites. Bring trail food and  lots of water.
