Because of the cool weather in Baguio City, most of the people here love to drink hot coffee especially in the morning. This is one way to keep them warm. One of the coffee houses that serve freshly brewed coffee is Cafe Yagam.
Cafe Yagam was named after the daughter (Yagam) of the owner. The concept of the coffee house was created by Ms.Carla (owner), people from non-profit organization called Cordillera Green Network (CGN), among others. The whole area are decorated with unique and eye-catching works from different local artists. You can find also find here extra-ordinary wooden chairs and tables.
One of the attractions in Cafe Yagem is their fireplace. It mostly gives relaxing ambiance to the cafe. The fireplace was surrounded with photo frames, travel books and vintage collectors.
Cafe Yagam is known for serving freshly Arabica Coffee, which one of the best flavoured aromatic species of coffee produced in the Cordillera Mountains. You can choose your-own-adventure type where you can mix from your choice of ROAST ( Light, Medium,Dark), BREW ( Paper Drip or French Press) and STRENGTH ( Light, Medium, Strong).
Aside from the coffee, it also offers full meals including native Cordillera delicacies (like, yagam, pinikpikan with etag, pinueg (blood sausage) and binungor (spicy vegetable stew), Pasta and Sandwiches. For those who love to drink, the cafe also serves local and international beer.
Cafe Yagam truly serves great brewed coffee. It’s also the best place to dine and wine. The ambiance of a family home is so relaxing and the place is really cozy. I really recommend this coffee house if you want to hang out and have conversation with your family, friends and colleagues while drinking Locally Grown-Hand Picked-Freshly Brewed Coffee.
So if you’re planning to visit the Summer Capital of the Philippines, don’t forget to drop by to Cafe Yagam.
