Last week, my blogger friends and I attended a fitness event at the FTX gym along Tordesillas St., Makati. This event is the start for the biggest fitness festival in the Philippines, Subic Fitness Festival, happening on November 15, 16, and 17, 2013 at Subic Free Port Zone – Harbor Point, Camayan Beach and Ocean Adventure.

The circuit training we tried that day was called Circuit Warz. We’re guided by 2008 Mr. Philippines title holder Reijo Maranan del Prado. He demonstrated the preparations involved to qualify in the Gladiator Circuit Battle, Extreme Enduro-Challenge, Strong Man Competition and Tug-of-War.

Circuit Warz is really a fun yet challenging activity. It involves a lot of physical activities and uses more of the non-traditional gym equipment that will challenge your endurance, strength and speed.

What the good thing about this challenge, you will do it as a team. It is composed of 12 to 15 members with 1 team captain and 1 team manager. A team can be a combination of male and female.

Here are the following activities we did during the event:

• 200m Sprint
• 10 Gladiator Combo (5 push ups, 10 mountain climbers, 1 pike jump
• 20 lockout Pull ups
• 10 Box Jumps
• 100m Sprint 35Kgs Sandbag Transfer

• Push –ups Rep out
• Pull-ups Rep out
• Atlas Time Out
• 32KG Kettle Swing Time Out
