Lady Gaga Concert in Manila 2012- Pinoy Experience
Posted On May 23, 2012
Due to my working sched, I declined the invitation of LEE JEANS Philippines to watch the Lady GaGa Concert in SM Mall of Asia Arena. I love Lady Gaga! I Love concerts! I love music! But I love most my work.
For the previous months, I felt I’m too much workaholic. I don’t know maybe I miss working in a company with lots of employees. I used to work home base for 2 years after I decided to go back to the corporate world.
After two days of thinking if I will go or not to the concert, I realized I need to GO! (sagabal ang trabaho sa gala lols). Not everyone has a chance of watching this once in lifetime concert. Take NOTE! It’s LADY GAGA! She’s not only popular here in the Philippines but also around the world. There are lots of good feedback about her concerts despite the protests of anti-GAGA and different religious group. I immediately called my contact from the PROsolutions that I will go to the concert. Thanks to LEE JEANs they still allowed me to join the concert.
Lady Gaga concert is the first event of the SM Mall of Asia. It is two-day concert- May 21 and 22. The exterior of the building looks as good as the interior. You will feel safe because of their security. The viewing scene of the arena is just like the Araneta coliseum-It’s a round-shape. The difference only of SM Arena to Araneta, it has VIP section that’s located in between the general admission and Upper box section. The arena is also bigger the Araneta.
The concert was started by playing disco house music. Everyone party rocks. I really love the sound systems of the arena. It has accurate reproduction of sound. The impact of the beats of the sound is incredibly amazing.
Lady Gaga graced the stage past 9pm. The setting of the stage was medieval Gothic castle design. I’m really so impressed. This is not just ordinary back draft design or so whatever props because the caste is moving. It is opened and closed like a dollhouse. Lady Gaga can walk around the castle.
Everyone is yelling as Lady Gaga started singing. Of course! As expected, she is wearing out- of this world costume. She brought her dancers. They are all hot and sexy.
For every part of the show, there’s drama. She played the roles of a rock star, queen, goddess, sexy diva, and others. She is also playing a piano while riding on a motorcycle. Dancing with sensuous moves with her dancers and playing guitar with the bands.
The singer-songwriter announced the birthday of her two dancers that made everyone sing the HAPPY BIRTHDAY song.
The stage also graced by a Filipino/ Pinoy guitarist, Ricky Tillo. He has been with Gaga for the past three years.
The main highlight of the concert is the message of GAGA to everyone…It’s not about the music, but about being yourself. She told a story about her gay friend, about discrimination, bullying, homophobia and a lot of things.
Lady GAGA wants everyone to STAND UP and SPEAK the TRUTH. We should be PROUD and FREE who we are.
What amazing Lady Gaga, for two hours of singing and dancing, I don’t see any tiredness on her face. From the start till the end, her moves and voice nothing change. She’s really an ultimate perfomer. She can sing , dance, write song, play instruments, … YOU ALREADY LADY GAGA!
She sang all of her hit songs including Bad Romance, Poker Face, Born This Way, Telephone, Alejandro, Judas, Mary and a lot more.
During the concert, I spotted some of the local celebrities including Ruffa Guttierez, Cristine Reyes, Tessa Prieto-Valdez, Wendy Valdez, Randy Santiago, Rico Blanco, Dainna Menezes and a lot more.
Pinoy Manila wants to congrats Lady Gaga for a successful concert here in Manila. It was really a big BLAST. I really love the concert and everything is worth it.
