NBA 3-ON-3:Say Hello to NBA Legend Horace Grant and New York Knicks City Dancers with Filipina KCD director Michelle Harris
Posted On October 28, 2012
I am fortunate to be part of the Press Conference of NBA Legend Horace Grant and New York Knicks Dancers including the Filipina KCD director Michelle Harrisfor the NBA 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Marriott Hotel Pasay City.
Everyone had a great time in the Q&A of NBA All Star, 4-time NBA Champion with the Chicago Bulls (1991-93) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2001), Horace Grant and sexy and witty New York Knicks City Dancers. We were also joined by Mr. Scott Levy, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, NBA Asia Event Partners and Sponsors.
I must say that Horace Grant is really a NBA legend. He is the man! A very cool and funny guy. While the New York Knicks City Dancers are very beautiful and intelligent. And Michelle Harris, yes! she’s very gorgeous and a very proud Filipina.
When NBA 3-on-3 Philippines 2011 presented by Sprite comes to town on July 1 to 3, expect a lot of high-kicking, explosive, high energy performances from the New York Knicks City Dance Team – the girls who energize the New York Knicks NBA team and bring the fan experience at Madison Square Garden to a real high.
The girls headline the list of NBA celebrities who will open the first-ever NBA 3-on-3 basketball tournament to be staged in the ASEAN region alongside NBA Legend, 4-time NBA champion and All Star Horace Grant who played alongside Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant with the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Filipino basketball fans will easily take a shine to the New York Knicks City Dancers because – besides being one of the NBA’s most exciting dance teams —their lead dancer is Filipina!
Michelle Harris, KCD Director of Entertainment, hails from Balayan, Batangas. Her mother’s surname is Dino and her father’s family name is Marella. Now a Chicago, Illinois native, Michelle is currently Director of Entertainment of Knicks & Liberty and oversees the dance teams’ overall entertainment as well as all dance team branding. Dancing with Michelle on the New York dance team are Amanda, captain of the Knicks City Dancers and a member of the WNBA Torch Patrol and NBA Fan Patrol; Christine, who danced with the University of Iowa Dance Team and a winner of several beauty contests in the past; Maria, a Long Island native and Italian New York girl through and through; Melissa, who has a BA in Dance and Psychology from Hofstra University, judges the Regional and National Legacy Dance Championships and teaches ballet and lyrical dance; Sarahbeth, a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a degree in Dance and a minor in Business, who has trained with the New York City Dance Alliance, American Theatre Dance Workshop, Tap City and the Eglievsky Ballet and Stephanie, from Rutgers University who graduated with a 4.0 in her Communications major and also a 4.0 in her minor, Italian.

Other NBA-style events from July 1-3 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall include a Sprite Slam Dunk contest and an Energen Skills Challenge where participants can compete and showcase their abilities in front of a home crowd.
