Manila, September 8, 2011- According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Tropical storm “Nonoy” continues to move Northwest and is now moving away from the country.
“Bagyong Nonoy” was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,140 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the eye and gustiness of up to 80 kph.. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph.
“Nonoy” is expected to be at 1,190 km northeast of Basco, Batanes by Friday morning.
