Last Tuesday, I participated to an interesting luncheon with Señor Diego Urra and the good people from Hennessy Philippines along with my blogger friends for Casa Lapostolle tasting.
Casa Lapostolle was established in 1994. It is owned by the Marnier-Lapostolle family, producers of the famous Grand-Marnier, and is managed by Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle.
We started the tasting with Casa Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Chardonnay, a bright pale golden yellow with nicely structured on the palate. The mouth attack is rich with a light creaminess and a well- balanced acidity that keeps it alive. The Cuvee Alexandre Chardonnay is really elegant and concentrated.
After tasting the Cuvee Alexandre Chardonnay, they served the Casa Lapostolle Cuvée Alexandre Merlot- a highly prized Casa Lapostolle product from Colchagua Valley. The Casa Lapostolle Cuvée Alexandre Merlot arrived as promised. It looks good. It has deep dark red with a very intense, good structure and a long finish. Just like Cuvee Alexandre Chardonnay, It is well balanced structure, good acidity and long aftertaste.
And lastly, The premium cuvée Clos Apalta was served to us.I really like this one. This is very rich and enticing. The nose is intense and complex. Clos Apalta has beautiful balance, good levels of acidity and deep color. After you sip, you will feel the elegant balance towards a concentrated mid palate.
With Casa Lapostolle, it will enhance the flavor of your meals and gives a high-quality and nothing but the best wine in town. If you would like to start collecting wine, you should invest on one of the best small wine coolers.
