Tagged as “Everyone’s Favorite Flip Flops,” Banana Peel has introduced its latest collection and the good-looking brand ambassador John Lloyd Cruz, happened on Tuesday, January 21 at the Cerchio restaurant and lounge.
The “Burst” event was attended by members of the press, online community, friends from Banana Peel, among others, which was hosted by MYX VJ AI.
Hazel Pearl Andres, brand manager of Banana Peel opened the event and shared to everyone their idea that flip flops should not be confined in tight, four-cornered spaces, rather, it should be a part of the fashion savvy’s outdoor lifestyle.
Included on the newest flip flops collection are Zooper Squad, Durry Lane, Funk and Soda, Gold Rush, Crewe, Dally Kicks, Hearties and John Lloyd Signature collection. The collection comes into different bright colors such red, yellow, blue, orange, green, among others. There are also flip flops feature the combination of burst colors and classic colors.
John Lloyd stated he’s happy to be the endorser of Banana Peel. JLC also shared he wears the brand’s flip flops on his current tv sitcom, ABS-CBN’s Home Sweet Home, as well everytime he visits his parents house and going to grocery store.
Meanwhile, Charmaine Manuel, marketing associate of Banana Peel, stated they chose John Llyod as Banana Peel’s endorser because he’s a boy next door, someone who’s reachable.
This 2014, the flip flops brand have taken foreign models to artistically associate the foreign patronization of its products, the product itself, and even the expansion of its product lines; shot in a Philippine setting. All these ingredients combined are the perfect embodiment of what Banana Peel is about in being ‘Everybody’s Favorite Flip Flops!’
Banana Peel has now being available in 28 branches and major department stores nationwide. The Filipino brand is also available in 9 other countries which include Maldives,Taiwan, Malaysia, East Timor, Saipan, the US, Australia,and others.
