Books For A Cause together with Goods.Ph, recently launched ‘Munting Aklatan’ at Brgy Martirez del 96 in Pateros.
Aside from the launching of Munting Aklatan, the book charity drive event is also celebration of Books For Cause (BFAC) 4th Year Anniversary, Inauguration of Brgy Martirez del 96 Community Library and Day Care Center Book Giving. It was graced by officials and residents of Brgy Martirez del 96, members of Rotary Club of Metropolitan Pateros, friends from Goods.Ph and Books of a Cause. Bloggers also attended the event.
The event was started with story telling activities, featuring books titled “Ang Pambihirang Buhok ni Raquel,” “Si Langgam at Si Tipaklong” and “Halo-Halo Espesyal.” The kids showed their participation through answering questions from the story teller. Some of them really listened attentively.
After the story telling, Brgy Captain Cesar Llagas shared some information on how to use the books properly. He also encouraged everyone not only the kids to visit regularly the community library and read some interesting books as their part of their regular activities.
Donated books from Books For A Cause will be placed in Munting Aklatan and Brgy Martirez del 96 community library. Readers can find books from English, Science, Literature to Filipino. A lot of interesting books can take advantage of the opportunity to learn.
To cap off the event, Brgy Captain Llagas gave some cool and exciting prices through a raffle draw. Lucky winners went home with big smile on their faces.
