The newest American Idol is an indie artist from Georgia none other than Phillip Phillips, defeating the 16 year-old teenager of Chula Vista, Calif, Jessica Sanchez.
Phillips is the fifth male singer in a row to take the title and a guaranteed to have recording contract. He earned world record 132 million votes tru phone, text and online that came in after Tuesday’s performance show.
Jessica and Phillip sang the Jennifer Warnes and Joe Cocker duet, Up Where We Belong” before the final’s result revealed on Wednesday.
The newest winner of the American Idol became emotional on his winning song “Home” after Ryan Seacrest announced the season 11 champion.
The finale was also graced by top- artist in the music industry including Rihanna, Reba McEntire and Neil Diamond. Americn Idol judges’ Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler’s band, Aerosmith have also showcased their talent.
Philips will be now official recording artist just like the other American Idol winners and finalists including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry, Kris Allen, David Cook, Adam Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson and others.
The American Idol 2012 is now end but will not stop on looking for talented singers in America.
