Last week I was invited by Chris Hettel, member of Philippine Volcanoes to visit the HMR Araneta Cubao branch. He wanted to show to the bloggers that HMR is the best shopping place for person seeking cheaper items. I saw a lot of gadgets, appliances and furniture on discounted prices. they are really cheap. You can actually save more money on this place.
During my visit in the store, three of the members of the Lady Volcanoes are also there to guide bloggers in the store. Of course, this is my chance to ask them some questions about the Philippine Rugby team and the sport.
I met Ada Potata Milby, sister of Sam Milby and the captain of Lady Volcanoes. She was really gorgeous in person. I must say she’s really “Astig.” I like her attitude because you will not see any “kaartehan sa buhay.”I also met the other two members of the team, Kaye Llanie and Acee San Juan.
I asked the three ladies why they choose this kind of sports. And guess what…all of them have the same answers. According to them, this sport is addictive. The challenges in the field give them strength to be more aggressive in reaching their goals for their self and for the team. It’s a different feeling every time they tackle a person. It’s also a team effort. And they really enjoy the team camaraderie. They tried different sports but rugby is the best sport for them.
They also shared that Rugby is for everyone. It is a fairly easy sport to learn. As long you know the basic coordination and how to run, definitely you can play Rugby.
Philippine Lady Volcanoes is now open for new players. They are also conducting trainings for FREE. Just bring the proper attire for the game. And expect that you are bounded to be dirt on this game. Just enjoy the game!. Who knows, you could be the next Lady Volcano in the making.
