Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is one of the fastest growing industries in the Philippines. Almost each building in the metro you can find call centers, and thousand of employees are working here. One of them is SYKES, acknowledged as the BPO pioneer in the country.
Recently, SYKES Asia Inc. formally opened its new facilities at the heart of Makati central business district- SYKES Glorietta.
The opening event was held at Glorietta 1, Makati, joined by SYKES President and CEO Chuck Sykes, together with the company’s key personalities Dan Hernandez—Executive Vice-President for Global Strategy, Mike Henderson—Senior Vice-President for APAC, and Dean Van Ormer—Vice-President for Philippine Operations. The four (4) big bosses performed traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, witnessed by members of the press, bloggers, friends from SYKES, among others.
The new office is designed with the world-class state of the art facilities. The walls of the each room are painted with vibrant colors. Added to that, it has high class office furniture that provides comfortable functionality with the needs of the modern professional.
Spacious huddle rooms are equipped to improve communication between employees and foster learning, while a mother’s room is another considerate feature that shows SYKES‘ commitment in providing excellent support for BPO professionals.
At 7PM, everyone went to the Glorietta’s activity center for the big event. It was hosted by Issa Litton. The SYKES’ bosses and some employees were all there to support the event.
After the inspiring messages of Sykes’ bosses, they showed a video montage of SYKES’ successful journey in the Philippines.
Capping off the evening is a performance by The Voice of the Philippines judge and coach Bamboo Mañalac. Everyone were screaming when he started singing. He sang most of his popular songs like Hallelujah, Elisi and others. The audience and even the big bosses were so happy, listening to Bamboo music.
