In celebration of a decade of It service, PC Gilmore presented Play More with PC Gilmore. This is one of a kind gaming event which featured the Point Blank of E-games where players from different parts of the Metro are invited compete with other teams in the Point Blank tournament. The winning team won a cash prize of P 10,000 in cash and an exclusive round of battle with the FG-Wolves, the undefeated Point Blank team in the Philippines. The team who won first runner up took a cash prize of P7, 500 and the second placer won P5, 000 in cash. A special gaming activity was also arranged for the members of the press, media guest and bloggers. Winning teams bagged Cash prizes of P 5, 000 and P 10, 000 for the first runner up and the champion, respectively. PC Gilmore gifts packs were also included as prizes for the winning teams.
IBM announced last Tuesday that a professor from the College of Computer Studies at the De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila has been granted an IBM Faculty Award. Professor Clement Ong, who is also the Chairperson of the Computer Technology Department earned the $10,000 grant for his Aerial Dynamic Assessment Robot for National Advancement (ADARNA) project that aims to improve the country’s disaster response capabilities.
