Located in the town of Jose Panganiban, Parola Island is one of the best white beach of Camarines Norte. It features a long stretch of white powdery sand and pristine clear waters. The island is also surrounded with coconut trees and several forest plants.
This unspoiled island is surrounded with semi pinkish color, a mixture of white sand and some miniature coral fragments. Parola Island got it’s name from the Parola (lighthouse) standing at the heart of the island. This lighthouse is no longer working.
Parola Island is a perfect beach destination for campers and nature lovers. There’s no accommodation in the island. You can bring tent or hammock if you want to stay overnight. There’s no also available electricity so you should bring lamp or flashlight.
Before going to the island, you need bring your own food and water. There’s no store available in the island. No worries for the mobile connection. Smart and Globe are working properly in the island
Aside from Parola Island, you can include in your itinerary the Bulalacao Beach, Turayog Beach, Pag-Asa Beach, Calalanay Island. You can find all of these beaches in the town of Jose Panganiban
- From Manila, take bus bound for Jose Panganiban or Daet, Camarines Norte. You can take Philtranco, DLTB, Superlines, etc. Travel time is around 8 hours. Tell the driver to drop you off near the Jose Panganiban Municipal Office.
- From Jose Panganiban, take a tricycle going to Larap Port. Along the way to Parola Island, you will see Carol Island, Aguanicion Island and Calalanay Island.
