Almost 15,000 participated in Avon‘s events for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The 2020 BOOBwatch campaign created a big impact to everyone especially for all women who want to know the importance of early detection and proper breast cancer treatment.
In line with this campaign, Avon held three fundraising events mounted online. The brand was able to reach more people and generate awareness at a grander scale. This year’s event were all for the benefit of the Philippine Cancer Society.
The first event was called “Boob Talk”, which was led by the Dr. Gia Sison and and Dr. Rachel Rosario of the Philippine Cancer Society. It was also joined Avon Ambassador Daniel Matsunaga, TV Host and News Anchor Dianne Medina, Host Myra Sison and breast cancer survivor Franz Tolentino.
Avon also made sure that they raised funds in an entertaining way. The brand held an online fundraising concert featuring one of the Philippines’ top female singers, Morrissette Amon. The virtaul concert is titled ” Shaped for More with Morrissette: The BOOBwatch Fundraising Concert which watched by over 5, 700 Facebook users. Morrissette sang famous hits by Adele, Jessie J, and some of her own hit songs.
The last event was a fun and energetic one, ending the festivities at a high note. The #JoinTheBoobment Manoeuvers Fitness Dance-a-thon, also streamed via Facebook Live, was one and half hours of full high-energy dance routines and happy people viewing and donating. The renowned dance group took viewers down memory lane, as they dance to the hits of the 70s all the way to the hits of today, making a it a fun event from titas to millennials. Choreographers of this fun session include Jason Zamora, James Zamora and James Gandi.
