Dingdong Dantes stars in the film ‘Dance of the Steelbars‘ which is inspired from the famous Dancing Inmates of the Cebu City Jail.
The movie is centered to the struggles of Filipino inmates inside the prison. Dingdong plays the role of Mando, a convicted murderer who has the passion of dancing. He denies he loves dancing just to prove his masculinity but in the end other inmates were able to convinced him to dance.
Other cast of the movie are Irish actor Patrick Bergin (Julia Roberts’ husband in the movie “Sleeping With The Enemy”), Joey Paras, and Ricky Davao.
“Dance of the Steelbars” starts showing in Philippine theaters/cinema this May 22, 2013.
