Intel Philippines recently invited members of the press and bloggers for the Intel Year-End Thought Leadership Press Briefing, as the company look back on their biggest moments on 2014 and their plans and views for 2015 and beyond.

One of the biggest achievements of Intel was their success to reach their target to have its Intel Atom Processor in 40 million tablets across the globe. There’s an increase of 30 million compared to 2013. Lots of tablets  from different brands features Intel chips such Acer Aspire Switch 10, Asus Memo Pad 7, LG Tab Book and Toshiba Dynabook Tab 3.

Another innovations of Intel include the Xeon Processor E7 v2 and Xeon Processor E5-2600/1600 v3 product families, which help the companies from all industries turn data into actionable insight. Around 81% of the world’s Top 500 supercomputers use Intel processor.  The new processors enable users to deal with and filter though growing data volumes, and deliver world class energy efficiency and enhanced security.

Also in 2014, Intel continued to innovate in chips across all mobile form factors- delivering enhanced performance, battery life and features, as well light designs for range of mobile form factors that includes PCs, laptops, Ultrabooks, 2in1s and tablets. Devices that features Intel Core M processors include the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, Acer Aspire Switch 12 and Asus Zenbook UX305.

The rapid pace of innovation across all IT will continue in 2015, where the Era of Integration will welcome us to the new and new capabilities in the world of technology.

Most of us now are not contented with just one gadget. We demand more! We have smartphones, tablets or ipads, laptops, PCs and event smart watch. These gadgets that we have automatically synch together. It’s connected to each other.

Intel Philippines Country Manager Calum Chisolm  presented some of their videos showing their latest innovations and biggest moment in 2014. One of the new gadgets that caught my attention is a selfie-taking drone that you can put on your wrist. It’s called Nixie, a wearable drone quadcopter. Wherever you go, you can take photo of yourself using this cool wearable technology.

Innovation will continue to build out new platforms and devices. The Intel technology will always be the major driver for significant change.
