Some of us are excited to witness the Kadayawan Festival 2015. Are you ready for this much-awaited festival in city of Davao?

Kadayawan is one of the biggest and grandest festival in the Philippines. It is celebrated in Davao City every third week of August. This festival is a thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the bounties of harvest, the wealth of culture and the peaceful living.
The word Kadayawan is from the friendly greeting “Madayaw”, from the Dabawenyo word “dayaw”, meaning good, valuable, superior or beautiful.
The 2015 Kadayawan Festival will mark its 30th celebration. It will feature spectacular and amazing floats fresh flowers and bountiful fruit harvests as well street dancing called indak-indak sa kadalanan, where dancers are wearing colorful costumes.
Every year, tourists could expect floral floats and street-dancing competitions and exhibits that showcases Davao’s tourism products and services.
This year’s Kadayawan is scheduled from August 17 to 23, 2015. The official schedule of activities for the Kadayawan Festival 2015 is not yet announced.
