After the success of her TV shows in ABS-CBN like Sana Maulit Muli, Tayong Dalawa and Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Big winner will have a comeback in a primetime series via My Binondo Girl.
Primetime Princess Kim Chiu will give life to Jade, a girl who, despite growing up with a loving mother, Zheny (Ai-Ai Delas Alas) and a loving grandmother, Amor (Gina Parejeno), still yearns for the love and approval of her Chinese father, Chen Sy (Richard Yap).
She will stop at nothing to win her father’s heart, even if it means changing her identity as Jade to pretend to be man under the guise of “Yuan.”
Kim’s role as Yuan is very challenging. She really needs to act like a real man despite of being a girly type person in real life.
“Super challenging talaga ang role ko dito kasi kung kumilos ako sa personal na buhay ay pa girl..Pero yung role ni Yuan.. kailngan kong kumilos na parang lalake..kailangan mababa ung boses..laging naka slouch..ibang ibang ang character ko dito” Kim said.
Also starring in My Binondo Girl are the promising actors Jolo Revilla, Xian Lim and Matteo Gudecelli.
They will give life to the following characters, Onyx (Jolo Revilla), Jades’ childhood friend and best friend, Andy Wu (Xian Lim), Yuan’s rival in managing ChenJean, and Trevor Wu (Matteo Gudecelli), the second son of Edison Wu (Ricardo Cepede) who is always being compared to his brother, Andy.
Chiu also shared how’s it working with her leading men.
“Si Jolo super generous niyang tao. Si Xian At Matteo super daldal.. and daming nilang kwento.. puro chika lang ang baon”(smile) She Said.
“My Binondo Girl” will also feature some of the most renowned artist of this country such as Cherry Pie Picache who will give life to Jean Sy, Zheny’s former best friend who is now Chen Sy’s legal wife, Laureen Uy as Amethyst Sy, daughter of Jean and Chen Sy who is also seeking her father’s affection, and Glydel Mercado as Ningning Wu, Zheny and Jean’s friend who is married to Chinese businessman, Edison Wu.
Under the direction of Malou Sevilla, “My Binondo Girl” is primetime’s newest drama-comedy series airing this August 22, which will surely make you laugh and cry.
