Feast of the Black Nazarene (“Pista ng Itim na Nazareno“) is held every 9th of January in Quiapo, Manila. It’s an annual event in the Philippines wherein millions of catholic devotees join the the “Traslacion” or the transfer of the image of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno from Grandstand Luneta to its shrine in Quiapo Church.

The Black Nazarene (Poóng Itím na Nazareno) s a life-sized, dark wooden sculpture of Jesus Christ carrying the cross. Most of the people believe the Black Nazarene is miraculous. Despite all the natural calamities happened in the church, the image in Quiapo Church is still survived.
