The Feast of the Black Nazarene or Pista ng Itim na Nazareno is an annual event held every 9th of January, which attended by millions of devotees in the Philippines. The feast is one the famous religious events in the country, where the miraculous image is brought in a procession to commemorate the “Traslacion” or the transfer of the image of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno from Grandstand Luneta to its shrine in Quiapo Church.
The schedule of activities for next year (2015)is not yet announced. Usually, the procession of replicas of the Black Nazarene will start on January 7. On the next day is the vigil at the Quirino Grandstand, Mass Healing Service, and kissing of the replica (Pahalik). On the 9th of January, the vigil will start from 12MN to 4AM followed by the Holy Mass and Traslacion of the Black Nazarene to Quiapo Church.
