I would like to inform you that there’s a new eco travel television program that champions the protection of the Philippine environment and which encourages everyone to be eco-warriors- the RUBI On A Roadtrp (ROAR).

Rubi On A Roadtrip is 30 min eco-travel television program which advocates the protection of the environment. It features environmental activist Rubi Palafox- Esteves travelling to a particular destination to feature its eco sites and how people co-exist with their environment. Rubi sees for herself how they developed their eco sites and how the whole town protect it and benefits.

What I like on this new TV program, it’s not just only features how beautiful the Philippines, it also highlights the most common environmental issue in the area and how the locals adapt it. Rubi really interacts with the locals and the environment.

The new show will help to educate the locals as Rubi impart simple measures that the residents can do together like recycling, waste segregation, planting more trees, wildlife and animal protection.

ROAR also drives its unique advocacy campaign ONE TOURIST ONE TREE campaign. This calls for individuals to visit the features destination and plant tress to have fresher and cleaner air. Rubi encourages all viewers and inspires the different town she visits to plant more tress for a cleaner air today and tomorrow.

RUBI On A Roadtrp (ROAR) will air at ANC Abs-Cbn News Channel starting this June 21, 2014, 6:30PM. It’s going to air every Saturday, 6:30PM with replays on Sunday, 8:30AM.
