Philippines representative Shamcey Supsup crowned the third runner-up in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Ms. Angola Leila Lopes crowned the Miss Universe 2011 while Ms. Ukraine Olesia Stefanko took the 1st runner up. Ms. Brazil lPriscila Machado was the 2nd runner up and Ms. China Luo Zilin got the 4th runner up!
American actress Vivica A. Fox asked Supsup, “Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person you love? Why or why not?”
Shamcey answered, “If I have to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love. Because the first person that I love is God, who created me.”
“I have my faith and my principles, and this is what makes me who I am. If the person loves me, he’ll love my God, too,” she added.
Among the top 5 contestants, Shamcey is the only one answered the judge’s question by her own without the help of an interpreter.
