Vivo recently launched its latest smartphone that boasts perfect selfie capabilities with high quality front facing camera, fast performance, and upgraded features,  the Vivo V5 .

Hosted by actor model Will Devaughn and  beauty pageant titleholder Shamcey Supsup-Lee, the launching event featured an amazing opening where performers showcase acrobatic stunts as well dancing with lights on their body. The event was joined by members of the media, online community, dealers and friends from Vivo Philippines. which happened at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort Manila.

The Vivo V5 features 5.5-inch HD display clad in a 2.5D Corning Gorillas Glass. It’s equipped with a MediaTek MT6750 octa core processor running at 1.5GHz. This new smartphone also sports an all metal unibody shell back case that comes in champagne gold and rose colors.

What I like about Vivo V5, it has a 20-megapixel moontlight front camera. It features a 1/2.78″ Sony IMX376 camera sensor coupled with a 5P lens system and an aperture of f/20. It also comes with a front-facing soft-light flash that helps illuminate its subjects whenever take a selfie. The rear camera boasts a 13-megapixel sensor that features phase-detect autofocus that will help snap photos as they happen.

Aside from Vivo V5, Vivo also revealed an upcoming device that is set to supplement the Vivo V5. The Vivo V5 Plus will feature a similar form factor of V5 smartphone at 5.5 inches, but will feature a 1920×1080 display and 20-megapixel dual front camera.

Vivo also announced its new brand ambassadors Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry and local influencers Mccoy de Leon and Verniece Enciso.

The Vivo V5 will be available in Vivo concept stores and major retailers nationwide for P12,990. The Vivo V5 Plus will be coming soon in Philippines shores.
