Most of us love to download apps on our smartphones. Either free or premium apps, we still download these mobile apps to perform useful tasks and to do something during our free time. We also one want our mobile phones to be social friendly device.
Recently, I attended the launching of the latest mobile phone of Nokia, which your Fastlane to Android apps- the Nokia X.
The interesting event was held in Holiday Inn in Makati. It’s joined by the member of the press, online community, bloggers, friends from Nokia Philippines, among others.
Last month, Nokia had announced the (3) three android phones smartphones as part of the X series at the Mobile World Congress. The mobile phones will be known as X, X+ and XL. So this is it, Nokia Philippines introduced the first device which is the Nokia X. This affordable smartphone is the perfect introduction to the world of Android apps, coupled with with signature Nokia experiences, and the most popular Microsoft services.

“We believe this unique combination will resonate with consumers around the world and set a great precedent for the level of quality that can be achieved in the fast-growing, affordable smartphone segment,” said Gary Chan, Head of Marketing Pan Asia, Nokia.
The new member of the Nokia X Family is an affordable smartphones that run Android apps and now available in the Philippines.

“We are happy to be one of the first countries to launch the much anticipated Nokia X,” said Karel Holub, General Manager, Philippines, Nokia. “The Nokia X would be a great device for Filipinos with Fastlane, signature Nokia experiences and a number of third party apps, in addition to a sturdy and attractive build at an affordable price.”
The Nokia X is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor and runs on the Nokia X Software platform operating system. The interface of the screen while navigating on each apps provides a different mobile phone experience
In getting a new phone, I preferred those mobile phones with the size around 4-5.5 inches. Good thing the Nokia X has a dimension of 115.5 x 63 x 10.4 mm with 4” capacitive color touch screen. It’s has polycarbonate body, which is easy and comfortable to hold. The entire real panel can be removed. You can purchase back covers in different colors.
When it comes to the camera, Nokia X features a 3 megapixel fixed focus rear camera. It’s located at the back center of the device. The camera app features photo mode, panorama mode, and video mode as well with built-in face detection. There’s also a setting for color effects, picture quality, shutter sounds, among others. So sad to say, it has no front camera.
Here are the example photos that was taken from the Nokia X:
The best feature I considered on this phone is the Fastlane feature. It is a dynamic record of how I use my phone, day-by-day, moment-by-moment. I see all the recent activities I did in one screen. I can switch between my favorite apps smoothly. I can also immediately return to a missed calls or text message by the tapping the box shows on the Fastlane view.
Fastlane is also more customizable and social friendly than ever. You can select what appears on your Fastlane feed, ready notifications from your social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and update your status within the Fastlane. This feature is very useful to me.
The Nokia X is pre-loaded with a variety of very popular third party apps and games. And if you’re looking for more apps, you can access curated, quality-tested apps from Nokia Store.
In the box, it comes with device, charger, headset and manual.
