Over 10,000 runners joined The Color Run Dream on Sunday, September 3 at the SM Mall Of Asia grounds in Pasay. The fun run was headed by UNICEF Celebrity Advocate for Children Anne Curtis.
Dubbed as “The Happiest 5K on the Planet”, The Color Run was the largest fun run series in the world that has brought joy to over 6 million runners worldwide in 35+ countries, finally landed in the Philippines through Anne Curtis’ foundation, Dream Machine.
“The Color Run is among the first major projects of the Dream Machine, which is a platform to help dreamers achieve their dreams,” says Curtis.
“Anne is untiring and unwavering in her support for children. Her generosity to sponsor and organize this fundraising activity inspires us to keep innovating in our work,” says UNICEF Country Representative Lotta Sylwander.
During the fun run, runners were blessed with a good weather at the SM Mall of Asia grounds. For every kilometer, runners got showered by a myriad of colors- yellow, pink, blue and purple. They also passed through frothy foam and bubble zones. Everyone really enjoyed the colored powder on their body. Most of them grabbed the opportunity to take selfie and groupie.
At the finish line, each runner received a beautiful unicorn medal paired with a colorful lace. They’re also welcomed with an amazing program where some famous personalities and DJs performed on stage. Some runners won exciting prizes from the sponsors of the event.
Celebrities spotted in the fun run include Erwan Heussaff, Jake Cuenca, Carla Humpries, Raymond Gutierrez, Nico Bolzico, among others.
