The final challenge is over. Axe Philippines already selected the two winners for AXE Apollo Space Academy (A.A.S.A.), that will be sent to the Axe Apollo International Space Camp in Orlando, Florida, for their astronaut training.

The 31-year old Air Force Pilot Lt. Mario Mendoza Jr and 24-year-old Evan Rey Datuin emerge top candidates for the first-ever Filipino to travel in space. They bested 50 hopefuls that came from different parts of the country in the last battle, happened last August 31st at the Bonifacio Global City.
The two winners from the challenges officially announced by A.A.S.A. National selection directors Manzano, Gino Quillamor, Sam Gogna, and Ramon Bautista at a press conference .
Mendoza and Datuin defeated other candidates on the intellectual and physical challenges prepared by Axe Philippines. The last challenge was called “the last hero standing,” wherein candidates were asked to stand on pegs, grueling test of willpower designed to select the most determined candidates.
The two winners will be joined by a 3rd candidate to be picked via an electronic raffle promo dubbed AXE Hyperdrive Promo, which gives every purchase of an AXE Apollo body spray a chance to win the last seat to Space Camp.
One of the three candidates from the Philippines is guaranteed a seat in the 2014 space travel and to be the first-ever Filipino astronaut.
