James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Eric Gordon of the New Orleans and Indiana Pacemates of the Indiana Pacers and Grizz visited Manila to join the NBA 3X Philippines 2013 presented by Sprite.
The NBA 3X Philippines presented by Sprite is the third consecutive 3-on-3 basketball tournament to be held in the country and takes the NBA action anew to the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall and Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) from July 26-28. You will see the presence of Harden and Gordon along with the high energy girls of and Indiana Pacemates alongside and Memphis Grizzlies team mascot on these venues.
The NBA 3X Philippines presented by Sprite features a 3-on-3 tournament that provides players an opportunity to gone their skills and compete amongst their peers. Following the success of Piniy strees ballers Kobe Paras, Thirdy Ravena, Arvin Tolentino, and Rashleigh Rivero in the recent FIBA Asia U18 3-on-3 championships, this faster, shorter, and more intense basketball format is gaining unprecedented popularity in the country and around the world.
Free fan activities at the NBA 3X Philippines 2013 presented by Sprite include: the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest; the Sprite Basketball Clinic; the KFC Bucket 3-Point Shootout; the Phonenix Fast Feet Challenge, NBA 3X Half Time and more.
There will also be a celebrity division featuring big names such as Rovilson Fernandez, Marco Alcaraz. Ervic Vijandre, Bobby Yan, Young JV, Mark Zambrano, Jace Flores, JC Tiuseco, Rio Dela Cruz, Dominic Uy, Jason Webb, Richard del Rosario, Mico Halili, Marco Benitez, Charles Tiu and TJ Manotoc.
Along with presenting partner Sprite, official partner of NBA 3X Philippines 2013 include adidas, KFC and Phoenix Petroleum, Official NBA broadcasters SOLARtv Network Incorporated and Studio 23. X-Play Online Games Inc (X-Play) and PhilStar.com will act as official media partners, while Spalding, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Cinemas will act as supporting partners.
The tournament finals will hold at SM MOA Music Hall on July 28. Exciting on-court competition is combined with authentic NBA entertainment and experiences for fans. An NBA Cares activity will also be conducted on July 28.
