The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced on Saturday, June 21, 2014, the eight official entries of the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) through its official Facebook Page.
From 13 films on MMDA’s initial list, it goes down to eight entries, which will be part of the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

The five movies that did not make it to the Top Eight (8) official entries include Whistle-blower starring Nora Aunor and Cherry Pie Picache, Above the Clouds starring Ruru Madrid and Pepe Smith, Bonggangster starring BB Gandanghari, and Kid Kulafu starring Cesar Montano and Alessandra De Rossi.
