San Mig Coffee Mixers completed PBA Grand Slam after an epic Game 5 over Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in 2014 PLDT Home Telpad PBA Governor’s Cup Finals on Wednesday, July 9 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The San Mig Coffee Mixers ended game with an over-all score of 92-89. The team swept all three league championships this season, making it a total of four (4) in a row since winning the same tournament last season.

The two-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Philippine Basketball Association James Yap once again starred for Mixers to lift his team in the final game, making 29 points along with 8 rebounds.

Import Marqus Blakely also helped Yap to win the game  5 who scored at least 20 points, 16 rebounds, and 9 assists.

San Mig Super Coffee Mixers became the first team to complete a Grand Slam since former PBA champ Alaska snatched the title in 1996 under coach Tim Cone.
