StarTalk celebrated its 17th anniversary last Saturday, October 20, 2012 with a star-studded episode, which was also a sort of reunion of the show’s current and former hosts.
I was in grade when StarTalk aired on TV. It talks about the happenings in the world of Entertainment Industry or so called “Showbiz”. The story of each celebrity, TV Show, Movie, etc will reveal on this show. Star Talk is consider one of the longest-running showbiz talk shows and the recognized authority in the country.
Pinoy Manila visited the set of the show wherein the host and staff of StarTalk were so happy in celebrating its 17th anniversary. They were really one big family. There were no pressure on the set. Everything was properly arranged and organized.
“Sa tingin ko kaya nagtatagal ang StarTalk, ksi para kaming ritong one big family. Minsan, may mga hindi pagkakaintindihan, may samman ng loob pero at the end of the day, magkakaibigan rin kami,” shared Lolit Solis
“I never thought na magtatagl ako dito sa StarTalk. In fact, I thought ilang months lng ako dito because at first I was even hesitant tosign a contratc ksi immigrant pa ako nun e. Hindi ako sigurado kung gaano ako katagl mag stay. Pero akalain mo yun, it has been 14 years and I’m still here, ” said co-host Butch Francisco. “I am just so lucky na kahit anong show ako mapunta, I am always blessed with a very good and talented staff. Magagaling tlaga sila,” he added.
Celebrities I spotted on the show were Ara Mina, Carl Guevarra, Angelu de Leon, Bianca King, Bea Binene, Saab Magalona, Ate Gay, Mark Herras, Dion Ignacio, Pancho Magno, Bela Padilla, and among others others.
Former co-host and returning Kapuso Lorna Tolentino lead the roster of special guests on that episode.
For the past 17 years, the truth has always been at the core of the show’s every episode, the main reason why it has remained the most trusted and reliable source of showbiz news up to this day. StarTalk has kept its vows to ferret out the truth hidden amongst the lies and half-truths for it believes that no matter how PAINFUL, IRONIC, HARD TO ACCEPT and CONFUSING the truth is, it is OFTEN LIBERATING.
In its anniversary episode entitled “The Truth at 17,” StarTalk will categorize current showbiz issues into five: “Ang Masakit na Katotohanan,” which features stories showing how the truth can hurt; “Ang Mapagpalayang Katotohanan,” which features stories that show how the truth can set people free; “Ang Nakalilitong Katotohanan,” which features stories that show how the truth can confuse people; “Ang Kagimbal-gimbal Na Katotohanan,” which features stories that show how the truth can shock people; and “Ang ‘Di Maitatangging Katotohanan,” which features stories that show how the truth can NEVER be denied.
