I’m very excited to see on big screen the international acclaimed action-thriller film release of Star Cinema and Reality Entertainment- the “OTJ” (On The Job).
The highly anticipated movie stars by most of the talented actors in the country namely Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Joey Marquez and Joel Torre.
In the recent blogcon held in ABS-CBN’s building, I was fortunate to meet and interview the cast members of the movie. The very handsome Piolo Pascual, good-looking Joey Marquez and super witty and funny Director Eric Matti joined the event.
Dir. Eric shared to everyone “OTJ” can stand as a film because of its interesting story. This is not just an ordinary action movie. It’s not like other regular local action movies that have scenes like actors are punching their face to each another, brutality, killing, and others, OTJ features a lot of action sequences and chase scene ever in Philippine cinema. And of course, each character in OTJ is another to look forward for.
I asked Piolo and Joey about their preparations in the movie. Piolo and Joey shared there’s no really preparations happened. They just did their best and follow what the script is asking and the most important is… to follow Director Eric. They became excellent actors in portraying each role in the movie because of the help and guidance of their smart director.
In this blogcon, I’m totally impressed on their answers especially the answers of Director Eric Matti. I don’t feel any showbiz answers. He’s very fierce in answering some of our intriguing questions. Hands down for you sir Eric.
Overall I really enjoyed this blogcon. Director Eric Matti, Joey Marquez and Piolo Pascual are very cool in person. They made this event not boring because everyone was laughing the whole time.
You must watch this film because it is a movie that has lot of action sequences you never watch in other local action films.
I also want to share you guys “OTJ” was screened at the Directors’ Fortnight at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. The film received standing ovation during its premiere at the 66th Cannes Film Festival.
