December 5, 2011– Unilab ActiveHealth brought the fourth leg of the Run United Regional Series from the “City of Pines” last Sunday.

Nearly 2000 runners and sports enthusiasts participated in the 3K, 5K, 10K, 21K and 500-meter dash in the first Run United in Baguio. Majority of them registered on the 21K category.

In partnership with Rio Dela Cruz of the Run Rio series, Unilab set again a quality race  to the Summer Capital, just like other events of Unilab ActiveHealth.

Run United Baguio’s finisher received special Unilab’s sling bag and the 21K finishers got a medal. Trophies and gift packs also gave to the Top 3 male and female finishers of each distance category courtesy of Unilab and its sponsors.

The atmosphere at the recent Unilab’s Run United, was overwhelming as participants enjoyed the cool weather and runner-friendly courses with scenic routes that provide them with good run and challenge.

Runners also joined the different activities at Unilab ActiveHealth Village wherein they got cool and exciting freebies. They also witnessed a dance competition which added enjoyment to the race event.

Team Logan, consist of couple Craig and Michelle with son 10-year old son Justin graced the Run United Baguio. The family, who lived in Baguio for three years until they relocated in Laguna early this year, is popular among runners as they often join races. They said Run United Baguio provided them with a good reason to visit old friends in Baguio.

Check out the next and final stop of Run United Regional Series this year will be in Cebu on December 18. Previous legs were held in Davao, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro.
