Who would have thought the main stars in the hit ABS-CBN remake of “Mara Clara” are now the most popular young artists in the Pinoy Showbiz Industry today.

Star Cinema is bringing to the big screen the young actresses Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo in the movie “Way Back Home.”

The movie is centered to the Santiago sister’s Jessica (played by Julia) and Joanna (portrayed by Kathryn).Jessica was only four years old when her younger sister Joanna got lost during a vacation. Joanna was never found. Jessica has felt unloved by her mother Amelia (Agot). The family spends the next 12 years trying to look for the missing Joanna because Amelia refuses to believe that Joanna is dead.

“Sobrang thankful po kami at masaya dahil binigyan kami ng chance na maipakita naman yung iba naming side.” Kathryn said.

Julia considers this movie as an extremely big opportunity. “Hindi kami makapaniwala. Nagpapasalamat kami and may halong pressure talaga.” She declares that she and Kathlyn are challennged to please the discriminating movie audiences. “Sa TV, buksan mo lang ang TV mapapanood ka na. Sa pelikula, talagang mag eefort sila na maglabas ng sariling pera,” reasons Julia. “Kaya kailangan worth it “yung mapanood nilang pelikula,” Kathlyn points out.

Direck Jerry and Agot Isidro were really proud to work this two young lovely actresses.

“Kahit anung ibato mo, a-absorb nila ang nang aabsorb. They are very eager and passionate about the project,” Direk Jerry said.

“Alam kong maganda ang project at brilliant ang dalawang actresses,” Agot said.

The family drama movie also stars Sam Conception, Enrique Gil, Tonton Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, Ahron Villena and Ms. Agot Isidro.

Way Back Home” opens in theaters on August 17.
